Hi there!

For a long time, the game didn't have a pause menu. Instead, if you wanted to change some settings you would have to (smoothly) go to the main menu, which you could access by pressing Start (or ESC in a keyboard) twice. It actually worked pretty good, but yesterday I said, you know what? If we're going to publish this game on consoles and everything then it has to feel complete!

That's why I decided to work on this little pause menu :)

It doesn't actually pause the game, but the monk seems ok by just sitting there and wait for you to take your time and do what you have to do 😌 

Here you can also see your progress in the game:

• how many script stones you have read,
• how many of The Four Thoughts That Transform the Mind (which raise the monk's awareness) you've found

and most important of all, at the center

• how many steps of The Eightfold Path you've completed

So you can have an idea of where to go and what you have to do!

You can't imagine how much work it took to add it here 🤣 since it was already on the main menu I had to move a lot of things and fix several other that got broken in the process hahaha but as the Buddha said:

Endurance is one of the most difficult disciplines, but it is to the one who endures that reaches the goal

And I think it turned out pretty well! I guess we still have to test it a lot though, who knows what else is bugged now! hahah
